Next Round

Pre-Event

  • If you are unable to make a race, please sign out of the race on SimGrid and inform us via the no-show form: https://forms.gle/9UVP3CHoWQJbs51x5
  • There will be max of 2 signouts for the season, if you miss any where you don't sign out you will receive a 5 point deduction

Qualifying

  • Split Qualifying: Group A are allowed on track in the first 10 minutes. Any lap started before 10:00 can be completed. Group B in the second 10 minutes and must not leave their pit box until 10:00 (waiting in the pitlane is not allowed). Group B cars must not interfere with any Group A cars still on a lap, let them go and give them space to finish their lap. Leaving pitbox early or impeding Group A cars can result in a post race penalty.
  • Groups will be determined before season starts and posted in the informations channel.
  • If less than 25 cars on grid (determined at the start of quali), we will remove the split quali rules and allow all drivers on track for the full 20 minutes
  • In game chat should not be used during the session, if used you will receive a warning first and then a 5s penalty for any more after that.
  • It is always the car behind who has responsibility to make a gap ahead before starting a lap. Any driver who ruins a valid lap of a car ahead of them by attempting an overtake can be reported and penalised
  • Not allowed to use off track surfaces to get an advantage before/during your lap.
  • Pit exit: The car on track has right of way on the pit exit, it's down to the car leaving the pits to not block/hinder the car on a lap, this can be reported and penalised.
  • Ghosting: No ghosting on the entry/exit of the pitlane. If you are ghosting when you leave your pitbox it is up to the car behind to make a gap. Any collisions at the end of the pitlane will not be looked on lightly.

Race

  • Blue flags - please respect blue flags. We apply the same rules as GT racing: If a car makes a move to overtake a car under blue flags, the slower car must yield. There is no requirement for a slower car to immediately jump out of the way once the faster car is within a certain distance/time. Courtesy is expected from both parties.
  • Fighting with a car that has already pitted - While it is your right to fight for position with a car that has already pitted, we advise you to think about whether the fight will be beneficial to you in the long term. It may be better to let the driver past to lose as little time as possible.
  • Pit Exit: The car coming out of the pits has the right to rejoin the track within the pit entry lines, cars on track should provide the space to the car leaving the pits. If you cross the pit exit line you can be reported and penalised accordingly. Causing a collision by crossing the lines will be heavily penalised.
  • Pit Entry: You must try and keep within the entry lines as much as possible, however it will not be checked unless a collision occurs.
  • Ghosting: No ghosting on the entry/exit of the pitlane. If you are ghosting when you leave your pitbox it is up to the car behind to make a gap. Any collisions at the end of the pitlane will not be looked on lightly.
  • In game chat should not be used during the session. Especially at the end of the race, wait until all drivers have crossed the line and the leaderboard pops up to indicate session over before commenting. If used you will receive a warning first and then a 5s penalty for any more after that.
Pit Stops
  • There will be one mandatory pitstop
  • For 60 minute races: no refuelling allowed, mandatory tyre change
  • For 90 minute races: refuelling allowed, mandatory tyre change

Nordschleife

We will be combining both splits into the same grid, to do this we will have some specific sessions and rules.

Sessions
  • Practice - 30min
  • Quali - 45min
  • Practice - 10min to allow people to join the 2nd server
  • Race - 90min
qualifiying
  • Pro and Silver drivers will be split into their own qualifying session.
  • The session will be 45min and it will NOT be split by the groups so every driver can be on track for the full session.
  • Qualifying will be set on static conditions for both splits.
  • Joker lap - the joker lap will be allowed in both practice and quali sessions. When using the joker lap you are allowed on the left of the track on the entry (be mindful of people on a lap already who will be turning left onto the Nordschleife), however you must stay to the right of the bollards/cones on the exit. Failure to do so will result in a post race penalty if reported. Also be aware of cars going onto the Nordschleife and finishing their lap and be mindful of the speed differences.
Race
  • The 2nd practice session and race will be combined, both Pro and Silver on the same grid.
  • Grid positions will be sorted by the splits, so Pro will be infront of Silver.
  • In order for there to be a gap between the 2 splits we will be running the short MANUAL formation lap (the same formation lap you get on single player). Pro's will start as soon as the timer hits 0 and will need to remain in double file (no ghosting) and keep to a steady speed no more than 80kph. Silver's need to remain stationary until advised to move (roughly 30s after Pro's have moved off). Once moving they need to also remain in double file (no ghosting) and a steady speed no more than 80kph.
  • Both splits will start on Green Flag, Silver's do not need to wait till the line, they can start racing as soon as green flag drops.
  • Pro's and Silvers are not racing each other so if you happen to be on the same piece of tarmac use your head and let whoever is faster go.
  • Pro drivers need to also be aware of the speed difference between the 2 classes, Pro on Silver violence will be looked on harsher if reported.

Championship

  • To get any points for the race, you need to finish at least 70% of the laps of the leader.
  • Fastest lap: +2 points for the driver with the fastest lap but only applies if they finish inside the top 10
  • Any drivers tied on points at the end of the year will will have their final championship position subsequently decided by the points total for all races (including drop round), then by most wins, second places, etc
  • There is one drop round in the season; the lowest scoring round will not count towards your final championship total. This is a community league, and real life happens. Even though the drop round is available, please do your best to attend as many rounds as you can.

STEWARDING

  • Every contact on the 1st 2 laps will be reviewed and penalties applied. If you want to report an incident that occurs after lap 2 you can do so via the https://forms.gle/PGboJo9JhYVuaEGH9. This includes any contacts or anything else you want to report (aggressive overtake, overtaking off track, weaving etc). Report window will close on the Monday 19:00(UK time).
  • We enjoy hard racing so will not penalise every contact, however if we feel a pass was too aggressive they will be penalised. Ie using the other car as a brake. Side by side = Back wheels to Front wheels. If side by side you "all the time you need to leave the space"
  • Post race time penalties to be applied depending on severity (5s - 90s)
  • All decisions are final - No appeals
  • Please respect the stewards decision, they volunteer an evening a week to help steward.

Changing Car Mid-Season

  • You can change your car only one time after the season has started, and before the start of round 2. If you change your car you will forfeit all points up to this point, and this round will be counted as your drop round.
