If you’re convinced you’re driving the same lines as the pros and still not as fast, Delta 3.5 reveals exactly where time slips away.
We are proud to announce our 7th season at IDC! This time we will have 7 races and 2 drop rounds.
Spoken language: Main language will be dutch, but all international drivers are more than welcome. We've multiple English spoken Discord channels. During the race most of us join the Discord voice chat. This is optional. ualifying: From this season we will apply a split qualification. The number of drivers is too large to qualify in 1 group, because otherwise it will be too busy on the track. We are increasing the qualification time from 20 to 30 minutes and shortening the free practice time from 70 to 60 minutes.
The AM class (and the reserves drivers) first have 15 minutes to qualify. From minute 15 the PRO drivers are allowed on track and the AM drivers return to the pits. Request to the AM and PRO drivers to pay extra attention to drivers in a fast lap during this switch.
The stewards will be paying attention during qualifying that drivers drive in their own qualifying window. If you are found to be qualifying in the wrong split, you will be DSQ for qualifying and will start at the back.
Driver Tiers: We use PRO and AM driver tiers. We will put you in one of these tiers based on previous championships or driven times on the practice server for the first race.
Everyone has until Thursday 29th of February to set a time on the practice server. We will remove new drivers who have not driven before (and so where we do not have a pace reference) who have not timed on the practice server.
Racing times: All races will following this time schedule:
So each race event will start at 19.00 (CEST / Amsterdam time). The race server will start at that time and can be found in the ACC server list. You can find the server password on the race overview page. (work in progress). You can join the race server during the free practice or qualifying session, deadline is 1 minute before the end of the qualifying session.
Custom BOP: This season we will also introduce a custom BOP based on the LFM BOP. The main reason why we do not adopt the LFM system 1 on 1 is because the LFM BOP is based too much on hot lapping. We want to dampen that effect somewhat, which is why we use a fixed multiplier compared to the LFM BOP. This multiplier is the same for all cars and all tracks. The multiplier will probably be around 0.75. We will announce the exact Multiplier before the start of the season.
Practice / race server: After each race the server will be created for the next upcoming race. In ACC lobby search for 'indep' and you will see the right Independent Driver Community Races server.
Practice and race live results: All driven times will be recorded and posted on our timing website. Check out idc-simracing.eu for the best times from our practice server!
Pitstop: For a 60 minute race a pitstop and tyre change is mandatory, refueling is not allowed. There is no pit window.. For 75 and 90 minute races, Refuelling is only mandatory
Weather: Races will either use fixed weather or variable weather. The practice server will be configured with the same weather that applies to the race weekend.
Car Choice: Cars can be changed until the first race of the season. After that the car will be locked for the season. A driver can change cars once, but will lose all points earned at that time.
Stewarding: We will be using post-race stewarding. Our rulebook can be found here: IDC Rulebook. Incidents can be submitted here: https://tinyurl.com/idcsubmit
Withdrawals: When you can't attend a race please use the withdrawal function for that race. 5 withdrawals are allowed in a season. If you don't use the withdrawal option, you will get 5 penalty points. At 10 penalty points you will be automatically disqualified from the championship.
Scoring: There will be 2 Drop Scores in a season. This means your 2 worst results will not be counted for the championship standings. We will also slightly adjust the scoring this year. The season finale is a 120-minute race and we therefore give it 150% of the regular race points.
Discord: All drivers must join our Discord server. Our Discord server is the main channel of communication between us as organisers and you the drivers.
It is mandatory for every driver when joining our Discord server to change their server nickname to their real first name, last name is optional.
If you join during the season and classes are full, please register as a reserve driver. At the discord server you can ask the admins to put you in one of the racing classes. Without this request we can't help you.
