OVERVIEW *THIS IS NOW FREE TO ENTER with a recommendation to donate to our just giving page for the event* Welcome to the SOP x BOA Collaboration 8 Hours Of Silverstone charity event. If you are signing up or are signed up please join the event server for full communication with both communities: (SOPxBOA 24 Hour server) SOP & BOA have teamed up to bring you this charity event and the chosen charity is MIND, Mental Health is still very much at the forefront of things and this is very close and personal for many of us both hosting and competing in the event. Many of us as sim racers use this platform to help our own mental health as its brings a sense of togetherness, community and support when we race in a team together or against each other. So we wanted to end the year with a massive positive and raise awareness and money for this great cause.

SIGN UP PROCESS This event is a first-come-first-serve basis and we will only be having one split. Once the grid is full, you can register as one of the 10 reserve teams available and then take any available grid slots should a team drop out before the event begins. We would like to make a recommendation for any team entering to donate £10 to the just giving page at the top of this info to help us achieve our £3,000 target for MIND.
EVENT TIMETABLE Sunday 5th December: Practice - 13:00 UTC Driver briefing - 13:20 UTC Qualifying - 13:30 UTC Race - 14:00 UTC for the 8 HOURS OF SILVERSTONE
PIT STOPS There will be no mandatory pit stops in this event and there will be no maximum driver stint timer, there is no limit on how many hours a driver can stay behind the wheel, however all drivers in your team needs to do at least one ‘stint’
STEWARDING There will be live stewarding for this event but please remember it is a charity event, so we will be slightly more relaxed on things and there may be hours in the event where no stewards are present at all as they will also be racing as well as stewarding. By no means will we accept any unsportsmanlike behaviour out on track. Be respectful and use the gentleman rule of racing also. Use of in game chat during the race is forbidden. Any driver in a team doing so can see themselves and the team disqualified
CUSTOM LIVERIES Custom liveries are not permitted for this event unfortunately as we want the server to perform at its peak and best for the whole 8 hours.
WITHDRAW AND RESERVES If you are signed up to this event but are then unavailable to attend, please click "manage registration" and then click "leave championship" so that your slot will be given to the first listed reserve team.
