Description and Instructions
OVERVIEW
Spec Emil Frey Jaguar GT3 - a 100% spec series in Assetto Corsa Competizione. We are trying to even the field as much as possible, to let drivers shine, and will be providing base setups to everyone at the season start. As always, we are a West-Coast based league so our start times reflect that. Open practice on the server starts at 8PM Pacific, Qualifying at 9PM (West Coast, USA). We'd love to add you to the grid!
These events will have variable in-game times and weather!
Along with this, we will be offering live broadcasting and commentary by JP Broadcasting AND, for the first time, live stewarding.
Everyone who registers for this event must join our community discord server. If you haven't done so already, please follow us here on SimGrid and join our discord! Follow the steps in the #getting_started and #new_member folders to gain access to the discord features and race information.
JOIN OUR DISCORD HERE
- Race cleanly.
- Accidents happen, but contact should never be done on purpose.
- Give enough space when appropriate.
- All cars should be given enough room to stay on track.
- You may make one move to defend your position.
- No weaving back and forth.
- Respect blue flags.
- If given the blue flag, you must allow the lapping car through at the earliest safe opportunity. Holding up a car for too long will result in a post-race penalty.
- Do not impede drivers on a hotlap during Qualifying.
- If you are not on a hotlap, stay off the racing line and allow drivers on a hotlap through.
- All collision incidents will be reviewed by the stewards both live and after the race.
- Ticket submission will be available within discord for any incident reports or reviews.
REGISTRATION
This event is open to all drivers of all skill levels; we will be offering a PRO and AM* championship! Please signup here on SimGrid, and join our discord for additional details!
THE EVENT REGISTRATION WILL CLOSE AT 7:30PM PACIFIC TIME ON RACE DAY!
*Stewards reserve the right to move competitors up or down classes for competitive balancing.
EVENT TIMETABLE
- The event server will open at 20:00 Pacific Time
- Qualifying will start at 21:00 Pacific Time
- Race will start at approximately 21:10 Pacific Time
RACE FORMAT
We have several different formats that we will run for this series to allow for closer racing.
Race Format 1
- 10 Minute Qualifying
- 45 Minute Race
Race Format 2
- 10 Minute Qualifying
- 1 hour 15 Minute Race
- One mandatory pitstop for fuel and tires
Sprint Format
- Two - 8 Minute Qualifying Sessions
- Two - 20 Minute Sprint Races
RETURN TO GARAGE
- Return to Garage (RTG) feature will be allowed during Practice, Qualifying, and Races.
- If your car is too damaged or you do not want to continue, please exit the server.
- When using the RTG feature, please make sure you are in a safe place and off the track/racing line so you do not cause an accident with another driver.
STEWARDING
Stewarding will occur LIVE and after the race for further reviews. Feel free to report incidents directly to admins of SDR.
UPLOADING AND SYNCING LIVERIES
PITSYNC IS A TOOL THAT MAKES SHARING AND SYNCING LIVERIES FOR OUR COMMUNITY SIMPLE AND AUTOMATED.
You will need a password to upload to and sync with our community pack.
Password: SDR_Liveries
You do not need to upload a livery that's strictly made in the in-game livery editor. The game takes care of this automatically. Only custom liveries need to be uploaded.
UPLOADING TO THE SDR COMMUNITY PACK
- Download PitSync
- Create an account.
- In the PitSync desktop app, search for "Sunday Drive Racing" and subscribe to the community pack.
- Click the 'Upload Livery' button to be taken to the upload page on the website.
- Follow the step-by-step checklist.
- Upload your livery to the "Sunday Drive Racing" community pack.
SYNCING LIVERIES
Before doing anything else, it is highly recommended you select the "only download liveries from packs I'm subscribed to" option in PitSync. Otherwise, you will download hundreds of public liveries when you sync.
- In the PitSync desktop app, search for "Sunday Drive Racing" and subscribe to the community pack.
- It is recommended to sync our pack before joining the server in case of livery updates.
