UK Esports Hot Lap Challenge -Season 1 Event Terms and Conditions:
Definitions:
Driver(s): means the driver taking part in the Event.
Event:
Motorsport
UK Esports Hot Lap Challenge -Season 1 being held between 10th – 30th
April 2023.
Motorsport UK: means Motorsport UK Association Limited (company number
01344829) whose registered office address is 141 The Command Works Southern
Avenue, Bicester Heritage, Bicester, England, OX27 8FY.
Organiser: means Motorsport UK.
Stewards: means the judicial body at the Event responsible for ensuring
these Terms and Conditions and driving standards are adhered to during the
Event and to allocate penalties.
1. Introduction
1.1
The Event is
organised and owned by Motorsport UK.
1.2
The Organiser
has the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
1.3
The Organiser
has the right to cancel the Event at any time.
1.4
The Event is
an esports time trial which will be held on The SimGrid*.
1.5
The Event is
open to the public, however only entrants that hold a Motorsport UK Esports Paid Membership are eligible to win the
prizes. A Motorsport UK Esports Paid Membership can be purchased for the
purposes of this Event no later than 21:00 BST on April 30th 2023.
1.6
Clarification,
interpretation and determination of any rules and these terms and conditions
shall be decided by the Organiser.
1.7
By entering
and taking part in the Event you are agreeing to these Terms & Conditions.
1.8
Drivers are
required to provide their own hardware and software equipment to compete in the
Event.
1.9
Driver entries
will be accepted at the sole discretion of the Organisers.
1.10 The quality of the internet connection being used by the Driver to
compete in the Event is the sole responsibility of the Driver. Should any
internet connection issues result in an unnatural performance of the car the
Organiser will have the right to remove the Driver from the Event and record a
DNF result.
1.11 All Drivers must adhere to the
Motorsport UK Race with Respect code of conduct which can be found https://www.motorsportuk.org/racewithrespect/ . All Drivers must read this before entering the competition.
Breach of this code may lead to expulsion.
2. Registration and Entry
2.1 Drivers are required to enter the Event. If the Driver is under the
age of 16 a parent and/or guardian must enter on their behalf. The parent
entrant will must supervise the Driver taking part in the Event if they are
under 16 years.
2.2 Drivers must be over the age of 13.
2.4 Any
entry that is incomplete or which contains offensive material or is otherwise
spoiled shall be discarded and or rejected as not complying with these Terms
and Conditions and shall be void.
2.5 Drivers
are permitted to make changes to their car any number of times throughout the
Event.
2.7 The car
classes are as follows:

GT3 – All available cars in the ACC title
3. Event
Details
3.1 The
Event timetable is as follows:
Week 1 Server:
10th April 09:00 BST to 16th April 22:00 BST – Brands Hatch.
Week 2 Server:
17th April 09:00 BST to 23rd April 22:00 BST – Donington Park.
Week 3 Server: 24th April 09:00 BST to 30th April 22:00 BST –
Silverstone Circuit.
3.2 The
weather will be set to static.
3.3 The
Event Settings are as follows:

Maximum Car Slots is 40
·
Ambient Temperature 15 degrees C
·
Track Temperature 21 degrees C
·
Time of day in game = 1pm
·
The Qualifying session in the server will reset
every 60 minutes throughout the Event weeks
3.4 Drivers can enter
the server as many times as they like throughout each Event week to attempt a
fastest lap.
4.
Stewarding
4.1 The
Event will be stewarded by Assetto Corsa Competizione’s inbuilt automated
stewarding system however the Organisers will have a number of Stewards on hand
to spot check Drivers throughout the Event.
5 Scoring
5.1 The Driver with the fastest lap completed at each track will be
declared the winner.
5.2 The Driver with the fastest combined lap time of the 3
weeks/circuits will be declared the winner.
6. Liveries
6.1
Custom liveries made
outside of the game are permitted in this series, but please bear in mind that
they are not officially supported by the game's developers.
6.2 If a Driver uses
any third party logos outside of the original licensed content of the game,
they must have written permission from the owner.
6.2 No offensive,
politically charged or offensive material in anyway is permitted. If the
Organsier deems a livery to be inappropriate they will be banned from the
Event.
7. Prizes
7.1 The
winning Driver (who is a Motorsport UK Paid Esports
Membership Holder) at the end of each Event week will receive x2 British GT
General Admission tickets to a round of their choice (not including the Algarve
round).
7.2 The
winning overall Driver (who is a Motorsport UK Paid Esports Membership Holder) over
the three weeks will win x4 Hospitality passes to either of the Silverstone
rounds of the 2023 British GT Championship plus a ButtKicker Gamer PRO.
7.3 The
second place driver overall over the three weeks will win x2 Hospitality passes
to either of the Silverstone rounds of the 2023 British GT Championship plus a
ButtKicker Gamer PRO.
7.4 The
third place driver overall over the three weeks will win one pair of IMB
Racewear V2 NO LIMITS
gloves – fully customisable by the winner
collectively
the ‘Prizes’
7.5 Prizes
can only be awarded to those Drivers who have a Motorsport UK Motorsport UK
Esports Paid Membership.
7.6 The
Prizes cannot be refunded or exchanged for any cash amount nor exchanged for
any other goods or services nor can the Prizes be sold or transferred by the
winner to any other legal person.
7.7
Delivery of the Prize will be effected in a manner
at the Organisers discretion.
7.8 The
winner agrees that the Organiser (or any third party nominated by the
Organisers) may in its sole discretion use the winners comments relating to the
Prizes and their experience for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes
in any media worldwide without notice and without any fee being paid (including
for the avoidance of doubt when responding to any third party).
8.
Broadcasting
8.1 The
Event will not be broadcast.
8. Conduct
8.1 Drivers
or Teams posting negative, disruptive and/or brand-damaging content on social
media about the following may result in the Team being disqualified from the
Event.
8.2 All
Drivers are expected to respect fellow competitors, the Organiser and any
others associated with the Event.
8.3
Discrimination of any kind; bullying; abusive/aggressive behaviour or
unsportsmanlike behaviour will not be tolerated and will lead to penalties or
disqualification from the Event.
8.4 Any
abusive or offence text used in the in game chat function will not be tolerated
and will result in a ban from the Event.
9. Data Protection
9.1 The
Driver confirms permission for the Organisers to request and use their personal
data as necessary for the limited purposes of this Event including the publication
of their name and / or likeness where applicable.
9.2 Should
the entry include the submission of a third party’s personal data the entrant
confirms they have the permission of that third party to do so and that these
Terms and Conditions have been brought to that persons’ attention.
9.3 The
Organisers may have to share the personal data of any winner and guest with
third parties for the purpose of issuing the Prizes.
