NZR: 1000KM of Suzuka – Event RulesGeneral Conduct:
All drivers must race cleanly, fairly, and respectfully at all times. Unsafe driving, aggressive behavior, or ignoring race control instructions will not be tolerated. Drivers are responsible for avoiding collisions and respecting other competitors, especially in multi-class traffic.
Flags:
• Green Flag – Track is clear; racing permitted.
• Yellow Flag – Hazard on track; slow down and no overtaking in the flagged sector.
• Blue Flag – Faster cars approaching; allow a safe pass.
• White Flag – Slow or damaged vehicle ahead.
• Black Flag – Driver must return to pits immediately.
• Chequered Flag – Session or race has ended.
Full Course Yellow (FCY):
• When FCY is called, all drivers must reduce speed to the designated FCY delta and maintain position behind the pace car or leader.
• Overtaking is strictly prohibited until the FCY ends and the green flag is shown.
• Pit stops are allowed under FCY, following pit lane speed limits.
Pit Rules:
• Pit lane speed limits must be observed at all times.
• Follow all series pit procedures (minimum stop times, driver changes, fueling).
• Unsafe releases, collisions in the pit lane, or ignoring pit procedures will result in penalties.
Track Limits:
• Drivers must stay within the track boundaries at all corners.
• Repeated off-track violations may result in warnings or time penalties.
• Cutting corners to gain advantage is prohibited.
Penalties:
• Infractions may result in warnings, time additions, drive-throughs, stop-and-go penalties, or disqualification depending on severity.
• All incidents are subject to steward review, and decisions by race control are final.
