Championship rules

1. General Approach
This championship is run in the spirit of classic touring car racing. The aim is close, fair competition using period cars, with an emphasis on racecraft, patience, and respect for other drivers.
This is not a win-at-all-costs series. Clean racing and good behaviour matter more than results.
2. Eligibility & Registration
By registering for this championship, drivers confirm that they intend to compete in the series in good faith and can reasonably commit to attending the scheduled rounds.
This is a season-based championship rather than a set of standalone races. Please only register if you plan to take part properly.
3. Attendance & Sign-Outs
Drivers who cannot attend a round must inform the organisers in advance via Discord.
Occasional absences may be accepted, but repeated no-shows or failure to communicate may result in removal from the championship standings or the grid.
Drivers who repeatedly miss races without notice may lose their place to reserve drivers.
4. Cars & Classes
Only cars listed for the championship may be used. Drivers must select their car during registration and stick to it unless otherwise agreed by the organisers.
Car changes mid-season are not guaranteed and will only be approved for valid reasons.
Period-appropriate liveries are encouraged, but not mandatory unless stated otherwise.
5. Driving Standards
Drivers are expected to:
Leave racing room when alongside
Avoid divebombs and unrealistic late braking
Respect the limitations of historic cars (brakes, tyres, visibility)
Rejoin the track safely after an off
Light contact can happen in historic touring car racing, but avoidable contact, repeated bumping, or overly aggressive driving will be penalised.
If you would not expect a move to work in real historic touring car racing, don’t attempt it here.
6. Qualifying & Race Starts
Qualifying formats and race lengths will be communicated in advance for each round.
On race starts:
Hold your line
Avoid unnecessary risks
Cold tyres and brakes are expected, plan accordingly
First-lap incidents will be judged with some leniency, but reckless behaviour will not be excused.
7. Incidents & Stewarding
Stewarding is handled manually by the organisers.
Incidents may be reviewed based on reports, replays, or server data. Decisions will be made using common sense and consistency rather than strict technicalities.
Possible penalties include:
Time penalties
Position penalties
Points deductions
Warnings
Exclusion from a race or the championship in serious cases
Stewards’ decisions are final.
8. Points & Championship Standings
Points are awarded according to the scoring system defined for the championship.
Only drivers who comply with the rules, attendance expectations, and driving standards will remain classified in the championship standings.
The organisers reserve the right to remove drivers from the standings for repeated misconduct or non-attendance.
9. Behaviour & Conduct
Respectful behaviour is expected at all times, both on track and in Discord.
Abusive language, arguing stewarding decisions publicly, or disruptive behaviour may result in penalties or removal from the series.
If you have an issue, raise it calmly and privately with the organisers.
10. Final Notes
This series is meant to be competitive, enjoyable, and welcoming to drivers who appreciate historic touring cars.
If you are here to race hard but fairly, respect others, and enjoy the challenge of classic machinery, you are very welcome.
If not, this may not be the right championship for you.
