Respect Always: All competitors must show respect to fellow drivers, officials, and community members. Toxic or abusive behavior will not be tolerated.
Eligibility: Open to all registered Chicane Crew drivers with an active iRacing subscription.
Communication: Discord is the official hub for announcements, briefings, results, and stewarding.
2. Championship Format
Season Length: X rounds (announced per season).
Race Weekend Structure:
Practice: 30 minutes
Qualifying: 15 minutes (lone or open, depending on event)
Race: 60 minutes (varies per track)
3. Driving Standards
Clean & Fair: Intentional contact is forbidden.
Blue Flags: Lapped drivers must yield safely within a reasonable time.
Defensive Driving: One defensive move per straight is allowed; weaving is prohibited.
Track Re-entry: Must be safe and not interfere with oncoming traffic.
4. Incidents & Penalties
Reporting: Submit reports via the incident form on Discord within 24 hours post-race.
Steward Review: All reports are reviewed by the stewarding team.
Penalties may include:
Time penalties
Drive-through or stop-and-go penalties
Points deductions
Suspension from races (for severe or repeated offenses)
5. Track Limits
iRacing’s in-game system applies.
Consistent abuse of off-tracks, even without 1x/2x penalties, may trigger post-race investigations.
6. Safety & Fair Play
Starts & Restarts: Drivers must remain in control and avoid late braking or weaving.
Damage & Repairs: Towing is allowed but must not disrupt race flow.
Connection Issues: Persistent unstable connections may result in removal from the grid.
7. Teams & Cars
Teams: Drivers may enter solo or in teams (for endurance formats).
Car Choice: Locked for the duration of the season once selected.
Liveries: Must be clean and respectful. Community sponsors and personal logos are welcome.
8. Stewarding & Appeals
Decisions: Steward rulings are final unless an appeal is lodged.
Appeals: Must be filed within 48 hours; reviewed by an independent steward if necessary.
9. Championship Scoring
Attendance: Missing more than 2 races without prior notice may lead to disqualification from the season.
Bonus Points: 1 point for pole position, 1 point for fastest clean lap.
Tiebreakers: Resolved by most wins → podiums → best finish position.
10. Final Notes
The Chicane Crew organizers reserve the right to update rules mid-season to ensure fairness and competitive balance.
By entering the championship, all drivers agree to follow these rules and accept stewarding outcomes.
