📜 FIA F4 Short Track Challenge – 2025 Rules
1. General Info
- Platform: iRacing
- Car: FIA Formula 4
- Schedule: Saturdays @ 9:00 PM BST
- Season Length: 10 weeks, no dropped rounds
2. Event Format (Per Race Day)
- All races are standing grid starts (no rolling starts)
- Practice: 20 minutes (open session)
- Qualifying: 12 minutes (sets grid for Heat 1)
- Heat 1: 15 minutes (grid = qualifying result)
- Heat 2: 15 minutes (top 8 from Heat 1 inverted)
- Heat 3: 20 minutes (full grid inverted from Heat 2 result)
3. Points System
- Positions 1 to 16: 16 points down to 1 point linearly
- 1 bonus point for Fastest Lap in each heat (up to 3 bonus points per event)
- No bonus points for pole position or clean race
- All rounds count toward championship — no drops
4. Conduct & Penalties
- Clean racing is mandatory: avoid avoidable contact and respect racing lines
- Incidents causing avoidable collisions, corner-cutting, or track limits violations may be penalized
- Race Control reserves the right to issue warnings, time penalties, or disqualifications
- Repeated offenses can result in suspension from the series
- Fast Repairs: Drivers are allowed 1 fast repair per heat. Use wisely!
5. Entry Requirements & Technical Setup
- Entry Requirement: Drivers must have an iRating under 2000 to participate in the series
- Technical Setup: A fixed setup will be used for all races to ensure parity. The setup file will be provided before the first race and must be used throughout the season
- Use the official FIA F4 car spec on iRacing
- No external aids or modifications allowed unless explicitly approved
6. Livery Guidelines
- Custom liveries are encouraged to show your personality and style!
- All liveries must be appropriate — no offensive, political, or degrading images or messages
- Race officials reserve the right to request a livery change if it violates these standards
7. Entry & Eligibility
- Open to all skill levels meeting the iRating requirement
- Registration required before the first race via [Registration Link or Discord]
- Drivers must use their registered iRacing account and in-game name during the series
8. Communication
- All official communications will be through Discord and/or the race lobby chat
- Drivers must confirm their attendance for each race no later than 24 hours before start
- Any changes or cancellations will be communicated ASAP
9. Ties & Final Standings
- Ties in points are broken by:
- Most wins
- Most 2nd places
- Most 3rd places, etc.
10. Race Day Etiquette
- Join the server early to ensure proper setup and connection
- Follow marshaling instructions from race officials or moderators
- Be respectful to all participants, moderators, and broadcasters
11. Disputes & Appeals
- All disputes must be reported within 24 hours of race conclusion
- Race Control’s decision is final unless new evidence is provided
