OVERVIEW
The next sprint series to come out of SOP Motorsport is here and we are travelling around the world. You must join our DISCORD. This championship will feature 7 rounds that have all been chosen by our SOP Patreons. We will be having a mixture of iconic venues mixed with the new USA DLC content. We will have a Gold class (24 drivers) and a SILVER class (24 drivers) in this series so we can crown two champions and have two separate championship battles, if we have the interest we will increase this to 48 drivers per class and we will create a whole new grid so there would be PRO as one split and SILVER as one split. It will be down to the driver to pick the class they think they belong in. But we reserve the right to move drivers either up a class or down a class depending on the overall pace of the class both before round 1 and after round 1, with the relevant points being applied as to where they would have finished should the driver move.
REGISTRATION
The first 24 drivers to register in each split will secure a slot in the series. We will have unlimited reserves for each split in this championship too and so if registration is full, take one of the reserve spots in the class you believe you should be in and you will be moved into a permanent spot if a driver withdraws or we will create two entirely separate splits.
EVENT TIMETABLE
Practice - 20:00 BST (10 minutes) Qualifying - 20:10 BST (30 minutes - 15 minutes per split) Race - 20:40 BST (60 minute races)
PIT STOPS AND STINTS
Every round will require one mandatory stop for fuel only, each pitstop will be fixed at 20 seconds minimum, tyres are optional but won't be a requirement in the pit stop.
STEWARDING
This series will adopt post-race stewarding only. Follow the incident report feature within the SOP Discord.
RULES
This series will impose a success ballast to the top 3 in each split after every round. 1st place - 30kg, 2nd place - 20kg, 3rd place - 10kg. The top 16 in each split will score points. There is also 2 points for the fastest lap of the race. This championship also features a drop score meaning your worst round will not count in your overall points.
CUSTOM LIVERIES
The use of custom liveries made outside of the game is permitted in this sprint series but please bear in mind that they are not officially supported by the game developers and their use can induce significant lag for the user. Any politically charged or potentially offensive material on a custom livery will see that driver banned from the series. To avoid the significant lag that custom liveries bring, we suggest that drivers run the livery but without the .png file. and that they do not load any other drivers' livery into their own pc.
WITHDRAW AND RESERVES
If a driver is unavailable to attend a round in the championship, then use the withdraw function. This is found by clicking on the `Races` tab, and then `Admin` on the round you need to withdraw from. There you will find the withdraw button. Please check the info tab to see how many sign-outs are permitted. If a driver has withdrawn from a race but wishes to attend the race after all, please contact a staff member as the slot may have already been filled by a reserve driver.
