world sprint championship - season two
We are back for Season Two and it is going to be awesome!! 10 rounds of triple multiclass action covering all four corners of the globe. Here at GRDC we offer the most complete thrilling well organised racing on LMU including:
- Real trophies sent out to the homes of the overall class winners, runners up & third place
- Real trophy sent to the home of the driver voted 'Driver of the Championship
- Practice servers on the Mondays and Tuesdays before race day, plus the afternoon on race day before the race server goes up
- The most comprehensive stewarding in sim racing with every contact incident autmatically reviewed so no need for incident report forms and the stewarding is recorded and published on GRDC TV
- Our cutting edge live broadcasts with commentary duo offering screen in screen programme capturing all your overtakes and driver interviews at the end of each race

So what are the entry requirements?
We are not concerened about your pace. GRDC is a very welcoming place to race for drivers of all ages anf experience. However, this is our flagship championship so we require drivers to be competent on track and comfortable being able to race safely around other classes of car and drivers. If you are new to GRDC you will need to have the following:
- Hypercar class requires either a minimum Gold 3 safety ranking or to have completed a minimum of 3 races with us**
- LMP2 class requires either a minimum Gold 1 safety ranking or to have completed s minimum of 3 races with us**
- LMGT3 class require either a mimum of a Silver 3 safety ranking or to have completed a minimum of 3 races with us**
There is a £7 / €9 / $10 entry fee. This contributes towards servers, broadcast team and trophies. This must be paid before the shakedown round.
- 23rd July - Qatar Mandatory shakedown round with verbal drivers briefing in voicechat before qualifying
- 30th July - Bahrain Round 1
- 6th August - Monza Round 2
- 13th August - Le Mans Round 3
- 20th August - Imola Round 4
- 27th August - Interlagos Round 5 (Double Points)
- Mid season break
- 10th September - Portimao Round 6
- 17th September - Spa Francorchamps Round 7
- 24th September - Qatar Round 8
- 1st October - COTA Round 9
- 8th October - Sebring Round 10 (Double Points)

Race Format:
- We put the race server up 1 hour before advertised on SimGrid, so 7pm BST / UTC +1 with a 90 minute practice
- 10 minute private qualifying
- 75 minute race
- Normal tyre wear
- Normal fuel usage
- No tyre warmers
- Real weather forceast set a few days before race day
- Open setup
- 12 tyres available
Championship Format:
- 10 rounds
- 3 classes
- 2 drop rounds
- 3 signs out allowed without penalty
- Post race stewarding
- Car changes allowed up until 6pm BST / UTC +1 on the 30th July after this no car change allowed
Life gets in the way sometimes, of course, and sometimes you just cannot make the race. To sign out of a round, you need to do it here on SimGrid >> click the races tab and then on the round you are unable to make and you will see a 'Withdraw' button. You must do this before qualifying starts or it will show you as a DNS when the results are uploaded and this will affect your SimGrid attendance ratio.

- Check the World Sprint Championship Info Channel and complete the Driver Profile form
- Make sure you are familiar with our Rules & Regulations
- Subscribe to GRDC TV so you don't miss the live broadcasts
**If you are new to GRDC simply DM a screen shot of your LMU licences to Craig Starkey, or if you want to race in that class of car but do not have the required licence you can fullfil the number of race requirments needed and one of our Club Trustees can approve your entry. We run a community race, Sunday Sessions, that is perfect for you to do this.
