oNiD Sim Hound GT3 Transatlantic Showdown

OVERVIEW

Welcome to the oNiD Sim Hound GT3 Transatlantic Showdown! This season is a fun concept to break up the season into two halves. Which continent will come out on top; USA or EU?

We will have a single race format across the entire season and 4 championship titles are up for grabs; each individual class, the overall championship and the continent championship.

REGISTRATION

There are no limits on iRating this season, just choose the continent you wish to represent.

EVENT TIMETABLE

Practice: 19:30 (GMT) - 40 minutes (inc. driver briefing)

Qualifying: 20:10 (GMT) - 15 minutes, 3 laps (lone qualifying)

Race: 20:25 (GMT) - 70 minutes

PIT STOPS 

A pit stop will be required in each race, although the pit strategy is up to you. You will be limited to 2 tyre changes per race and your tyres you qualify on will be your racing start tyre. 

POINTS SYSTEM

All details can be found on the points tab on SimGrid. Our points system will remain the same across all races. We will have an overall championship as well as separate USA and EU standings. 

Two bonus points will be awarded for the fastest lap in each race. 

Each driver will get two drop rounds for the season. If a driver does not sign out on SimGrid, a 10 point deduction will be made to their tally.

CAR SETUPS

Due to the recent introduction of the new tyre model, we will be racing iRacing fixed setups for the season. Fuel tank size will be limited to 70% capacity.

STEWARDING

This series will be post race stewarded - Incident Form and Incident Guide can be found in the rules page on Sim Grid.

CUSTOM LIVERIES

We will be allowing custom liveries in this series. You can have these be seen on stream and to other races by uploading them to Trading Paints.
