Racing Rules and Regulations
Overtaking and Defending:
- 1. It is the overtaking cars responsibility to overtake in a safe manner
- 2. Any car that is “sufficiently alongside” must be afforded a car’s width on track
- 3. “Sufficiently alongside” is judged as any part of the car alongside another on the straights and during a corner the chasing cars front axle must be in line with the lead car’s rear axle to warrant being left the space. A corner is deemed from corner entry turn in to corner exit straight.
- 4. Cars may not move under braking until the turn in point
- 5. Weaving on straights(more than 2 moves) to break the slip stream or block another car is not allowed
Incidents:
- 1. Drivers that have gone off track may maintain control of their cars and re-join so long as it is done in a safe manner
- 2. Drivers who have gained an unfair advantage on another should recede the advantage in order to avoid or reduce a possible penalty
- 3. If you DNF, please return to the pits and remain there until the end of the session
- 4. Please report, or appeal incidents in discord
Yellow and Blue Flags:
- 1. Overtaking is prohibited in yellow flag conditions, except for cars involved in an incident
- 2. Drivers must exercise extreme caution during yellow flag conditions
- 3. It is the responsibility of the lapping car to overtake blue flagged cars safely
- 4. Drivers under blue flagged conditions are not obliged to yield to allow lapping cars to pass
- 5. Drivers under blue flagged conditions must not defend their positions, and must stop battling with other cars until the blue flag is cleared
- 6. Lapped cars may un-lap themselves provided they have a clear pace advantage*
Penalties:
- 1. Time penalties are a minimum of 10 seconds in the first lap, and 5 seconds after
- 2. Extra penalties may be given on steward’s discretion
- 3. Penalties may be appealed in discord, however, the stewards have the final say for the outcome of an incident
