ETIQUETTE

1. As above, abuse towards others will not be tolerated.

2. Please obey all procedures outlined in this document, they have been drawn up to create a safe and consistent ruleset to ensure fair play and great racing.

1. Qualifying

a. Please leave enough room to have a safe qualifying session. If the car behind is on a "hotlap" and you are not, pull off the racing line (preferably on a straight) so as not to ruin a driver's lap. If both cars are on a hotlap; it is the faster driver's responsibility to pass cleanly. The stewards team will hand out penalties if there is any deliberate "holding up" happening. You're all grown-ups, you should know what to do. Basically, if you catch the car ahead, it is not their fault, it is yours and you should act accordingly.

b. Qualifying will take place on the same evening as the race events.

2. Racing

a. Obey the pit entry and exit lines, as well as the speed limit on pit road.

b. There is one mandatory pit stop at each event for tyres, and the pit lane will always be open for repairs/driver swaps.

c. The game will handle all stop/go and drive-through penalties. These will not be cleared during the race.

d. All flags in game should be obeyed, especially slowing down and not overtaking under yellow or double waved yellow flags.

e. Blue flags; whilst lapping a slower car, the faster driver is the one responsible for making a clean pass. The slower car may move offline enabling this to happen safely, but it is not expected and should never be assumed. If a faster car causes a collision with a slower car, expect penalties to be applied for dangerous overtaking. Cars should be let through under blue flags within 1 racing lap.

f. If contact is made with another car, the place should be returned within 1 lap of the circuit.

g. End of the race - due to the events being live streamed, please complete a cool down lap instead of pulling off and returning to pits.

3. Success Ballast

a. Podium places will receive success ballast up to and including a maximum of 30kg.

b. Ballast stays on your car, and will not be removed for the entirety of the season.

  1. 1st place - 15kg
  2. 2nd place - 10kg
  3. 3rd place - 5kg

4. Stewarding

a. There will be no live stewarding, the stewards will meet post race to review any incidents

b. We will have one member of each discord community making up the stewarding panel to ensure fair decisions are made.

c. Stewards decisions are final.

d. From the end of the race, you have 48 hours to submit any protest via the form that will be made available on each discord community.

5. Liveries

a. Custom liveries both created in and outside the game are permitted, and a Google drive will be made available for uploading them into. They will be collated and distributed in good time before the first event.

b. You should include both the DDS_1 and DDS_2 files in your livery upload, alongside the usual JSON and PNG files.

6. Points

a. Drivers will score individual points throughout the series, giving teams the option to run different drivers should one be unavailable.

b. Points breakdown will be available before Round 1.

7. Other

a. As this is primarily driver swap racing, please familiarise yourself with the procedures for doing a swap. Special attention should be given to knowing who is driver 1 on your team entry.

a.1. If you need to alter your entry list, please do so BEFORE 11:59am on the day of a race.

b. Weather setting will be decided before round one, via a random number generator. The temperatures will be realistic for the continent the race track is based on.

c. Practice servers for both driver swap and solo practice will be available with the same weather settings as predicted for the race.
