BTCC 90s Open

The BTCC 90s Open championship is run on rFactor2 with the iconic touring cars from the 90s. It starts with a shakedown race (let's get together event) at Donington GP track on the 31st of May. This race doesn't score points towards the championship but it's for you to get an understanding of the formula and test the cars if you didn't do so before. The championship will then span across 6 British legendary race tracks.  Some dates are still TBD but this is the planned schedule:

Schedule

• Donington Park - Grand Prix (31st of May - shakedown)
• Brands Hatch - Grand Prix (11th of June)
• Oulton Park - International with chicane (18th of June)
• Croft (25th of June)
• Thruxton (2nd of July)
• Silverstone - Grand Prix (9th of July)
• Donington Park - Grand Prix (16th of July)

The event formula

• Practice: 20 minutes
• Qualifying: 20 minutes
• Warmup: 5 minutes
• Race 1: 30 minutes
• Race 2: 30 minutes (starting grid is the reverse finish order of Race 1)

The championship is open to everybody, no rating limits. The cars available are listed in the event description (all cars mod are free and part of Cyril Cherry's Steam workshop). Some of the tracks are official rFactor 2 DLCs, other are free mods. We are not supporting custom liveries at the moment, but if it's important to you let's talk on our Discord.  There will be no live stewarding but every reported accident will be reviewed after the race and evaluated. Make sure you read the rules section.

There are no sponsors or monetary or physical rewards at this moment.
