Welcome to the return of miniDURO, our traditional prep races for iRacing special events! This time we're thrilled to feature a shake-up of the single 2.4H warm-up race into a full-fledged 3-round championship - all to aid teams for the upcoming iRacing Nürburgring 24! As usual, these races feature the same cars & track config as the special event i.e. GT3/PCup/GT4/TCR/BMW M2 at Nürburgring Combined - Gesamtstrecke 24h.
This series is open to solo as well as 2-driver team entries. Races will feature a variety of different sim times & weather with the hope to replicate the special event's conditions as best as possible.
This is the 2nd round of 3, see here for the previous round. The 3rd round will go up just before the 2nd round commences.
There is no minimum road licence or iRating required for this event, the race is open to all interested drivers :)
We're proud to host the broadcast for the race on our own twitch channel! See the above link on raceday for the stream
We have live stewarding for the session with stewards on hand to keep an eye on proceedings as well as dish out penalties as/when required. For those interested, we will make use of the iRacing Live Stewarding App to achieve this. We are using our own ruleset that we expect all drivers to (see our Rules here). For the smooth running of the event, we will not be making use of full-course yellow nor deploying the safety car for the duration of the race.
We love to see custom paints used in our races! To this end we advice for drivers/teams to use liveries from Trading Paints and/or upload their own on there since our broadcast will be using TP as well - do sort out your liveries through this tool if you wish to see your car's paint on the stream. Naturally, as this is iRacing, we urge people to abide by the iRacing rules and not pick paints that fall foul of them (i.e. nsfw/offensive/politically charged liveries). We reserve the right to remove offending teams from the race if need be.
