DRIVING STANDARDS & PENALTIES FORZA RACE REGULATIONS & TRACK LIMITS
In-game penalties will be turned off for all races on the calendar. (The track limit is the Wall) PENALTY REPORTING
If you have a clip to submit for a driving standards violation, please submit any clips via a Grove Street Forza admin. Submissions must be made within 24 hours of the conclusion of the race. Submissions made after this deadline will not affect the results of the race but in serious enough cases may result in disciplinary action.
PENALTY APPEALS
Drivers may appeal post-race penalties by submitting new and significant evidence along with an explanation. Appeals without new and significant evidence will be disregarded. LAPPED CARS
Lapped cars will not be ghosted on any track. Lapped cars are allowed to fight to stay on the lead lap. Once they are a lap down to the leader, lapped cars should cede positions to faster-approaching lead-lap cars
Lapped cars are expected to race cleanly and will face increased penalties for incidents with lead-lap cars. Cars that are a lap down on strategy will be given more leniency, but the typical door-banging that is acceptable between cars fighting for position is not acceptable for a car that is a lap down.
BLOCKING
Defending cars are allowed one defensive move per straight. Defending cars may not make a reactionary move to the car behind to block them. Doing so will result in a penalty.
Throwing a block while below racing speed is never allowed. If you are exiting the pits, accelerating back up to speed after an incident, or below what could reasonably be considered as normal racing speed for any reason, you may not block another car. Doing so will result in a suspension. WALL RIDING AKA “ROSS CHASTAIN / CHRISTOPHER BELL RULE”
Wall riding of any kind is not allowed. This includes driving into a wall and glancing off of it in an attempt to gain time through a corner. If a driver is determined to have gained an advantage by wall riding, they will be penalized. Whether or not an action constitutes a wall ride is at the sole discretion of the stewards.
POST-RACE PENALTIES
Post-race penalties may be applied to multiple stages for the same penalty if it is determined a driver took a penalty to advantage themselves in a future stage.
Any driver who pauses under green flag running to ghost through a wreck will be disqualified.
The Grove Street Admin designated as the race director has overriding authority over all in-race procedures. Their direction is final and supersedes all outlined procedures.
If a rule is not outlined in this document but is explained before a race or outlined in the Grove Street Discord server, it will still be enforced and considered as valid.
