Welcome to the New World Sim Racing Pint Series ACC championship!
The Pint Series is our main ACC league championship that emphasizes
clean, respectful racing above all. All skill levels are encouraged to
sign up as we all learn from each other and work towards being better
drivers.
You must join our Discord in order to participate in the Pint Series.
Race Server Password will be posted in Discord the day of the race.
Driver Classes
In order to accommodate all skill levels we place drivers into one of
four classes: Amateur, Silver, Gold, and Pro. The championship scoring
is done on a per-class basis, so you can still win your class even if
you place 10th overall. Driver placements are determined by previous
season results, and/or Simgrid race history. We may also move a
driver up/down during the season if we determine they have been placed
incorrectly.
Please sign up for the GT3 class with the car you want to run, we
will place people in the correct splits before the season starts.
Depending on how many people sign up we may run two servers, one for AM /
Silver, and one for Gold / Pro.
Format
The championship consists of 8 weekly races with a one week break in
between races 4 and 5. The race server will go online at 3p PT / 6p ET
on Sunday and consist of the following sessions, unless otherwise
specified:
- 60 min practice
- 15 min second practice (starts at 3p PT / 6p ET)
- 30 min qualifying
- 60 minute race
Qualifying
The 30 minute qualifying session will be split into two parts:
- First 15 minutes AM and Silver drivers set a time
- Last 15 minutes Gold and Pro drivers set a time
Race
Races, unless otherwise specified will be 60 minutes with one
mandatory pit stop. The pit stop is minimum 25s refuel, no tires
required, with a 45 minute pit window. Race weather details are not
published, however we will run a practice server for the whole week
before the race with similar weather settings.
Missing Races
While we would love to have a full grid every race we do understand
life happens and you might need to miss a race or two. If you do need to
miss a race, please sign out so we can keep track or have someone in
the waitlist join. Please note: If you miss the first two races of the season for no valid reason you will be dropped from the series.
Racing Standards and Stewarding
We emphasize clean racing above all else here at
NWSR, because we understand the frustration of being crashed out on lap 1
of the only race you can participate in that week.
We use both live stewarding as well as penalty points to encourage
safe driving. All incidents are recorded automatically and lap 1
incidents are given double penalties.
