Virtual SA GT

GENERAL

The Virtual SA GT is a series following the real life GT SA series around their races in South Africa. Each virtual iteration will be 1 week prior to the actual race. All entrants will be eligible for General Access tickets to the live racing events. The series was created to bridge the gap between virtual racing and real racing, as a result the series will be stewarded and monitored by Motorsport South Africa and all entrants are required to obtain an MSA E License. SOUTH AFRICAN ONLY SERIES

As per the regulations please note that the Virtual SA GT is restricted to South African nationals and residents.

DISCORD

The full championship details are available in the ProSeries 2022 Discord server. It is mandatory for all entrants to join the Discord for driver briefings and to obtain server passwords.

RACE STRUCTURE

We will follow the structure of the real SA GT series

• Saturdays:

         Practice:         08:00 - 16:00

         Qualifying:      16:00 - 16:30

• Sundays:

         Race 1:           14:00 - 15:00

         Race 2:           16:00 - 17:00

PRIZES

The 3 highest ranked drivers at the end of the 4th round Kyalami race will be invited to the "Champion of Champions" event in Cape Town.

The top 3 drivers of the series will be invited to race day test at a racetrack of SA GT's choosing, with the ultimate prize of access to drive a real life GT racecar.

SAES officials will be on hand to evaluate participants for consideration for a FULLY paid race seat in the real-life 2023 SAE series.
