2024Buttkicker Britcar 24hrs of Silverstone Esports Event Terms and Conditions:
Definitions:
Britcar: meansBritcar Endurance Limited (company number 09717476) whose registered officeaddress is at 5 Stirling Court Yard Stirling Way Borehamwood England WD6 2FX.
Driver(s): means the driver(s) put forward by the Team to drive andcompete on their behalf in the Event.
Event:means the Britcar 24hrs of Silverstone Esports Event to be held on 2nd– 3rd December 2023
Motorsport UK: means Motorsport UK Association Limited (company number01344829) whose registered office address is 141 The Command Works SouthernAvenue, Bicester Heritage, Bicester, England, OX27 8FY
Organisers: means Motorsport UK and Britcar.
Stewards: means the judicial body at the Event responsible for ensuringthese Terms and Conditions and driving standards are adhered to during the Eventand to allocate penalties.
Team: means the sim racing team entered.
1. Introduction1.1 The Event isorganised and owned by Motorsport UK and Britcar (the ‘Organisers’).
1.2 The Organisershave the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time.
1.3 The Organisershave the right to cancel the Event at any time. Should the Organisers cancelthe Event the entry fee shall be refunded.
1.4 The Event isan esports race which will be held on iRacing and managed through The SimGrid*.
1.5 Clarification,interpretation and determination of any rules and these terms and conditionsshall be decided by the Organisers.
1.6 By entering a Team and taking part in the Event you are agreeing to these Terms &Conditions.
1.7 Teams and Drivers are required to provide their own hardware and software equipment to compete in the Event.
1.8 Team or Driver entries will be accepted at the sole discretion of the Organisers.
1.9 The quality ofthe internet connection being used by the Team and/or Driver to compete in the Event is the sole responsibility of the Team and/or Driver. Should any internetconnection issues result in an unnatural performance of the car the Organiserwill have the right to remove the Driver from the Event and record a DNFresult.
1.10 All Teams and Drivers must adhere to the Motorsport UK Race with Respect code of conduct which can be found [here]. All Teams and Drivers must read this before entering the race. Breach of this code may lead to expulsion from the race.
2. Registration and Entry2.1 Teams are required to enter the Event and must have between 2-6 Drivers per Team.
2.2 Drivers must be 16 years old or over and it is the responsibility of the Team to ensure this.
2.3 Every Team that participates in the Event will be required to pay the entry fee of £30and one of the drivers competing in the race be a paid Motorsport UK EsportsMember
2.4 Entryfees are only refundable if a Team withdraws from the Event 7 clear days or more before the Event.
2.5 Anyentry that is incomplete or which contains offensive material or is other wise spoiled shall be discarded and or rejected as not complying with these Termsand Conditions and shall be void.
2.6 Teamsare permitted to make changes to their entry any number of times if carried out before the 'Driver Changes Deadline'
2.7 The “Driver Changes Deadline” is 12:00 GMT on Monday 25h November
2.8 The carclasses are as follows:
- GT3 - Audi R8 LMS Evo II, Ferrari 296GT3, BMW M4 GT3, Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO, Mercedes-AMG GT3 2020
- GT4 - Mercedes-AMG GT4, Aston MartinVantage GT4, Porsche Cayman GT4 Clubsport, McLaren 570S GT4, BMW M4 GT4
3. Event Details
3.1 TheEvent timetable is as follows:
• Practstyle=" text-align: justify; ">6.1.2If you do not have your own Team livery, for the purposes of the stream youwill be allocated one with the correct decal pack
6.1.3To ensure all liveries are seen on the stream (even if you are not running yourown livery) you MUST join our Discord (INVITE) and submit your iRacing Team ID as soon as possible
6.1.4All liveries submitted must adhere to the iRacing Paint Policy foundhere - https://bit.ly/iracing-paint-policy (policy updated08/12/21)
6.1.5Any politically charged or potentially offensive material on a custom liverywill see the team banned from the race.
7. Prizes
7.1 Thewinning Team from each class will will be able to choose eithera ButtKicker Gamer Plus or Gamer PRO model. PLUS the Ultimate version ofthe Haptic Connect Software.
7.2 ThePrizes cannot be refunded or exchanged for any cash amount nor exchanged forany other goods or services nor can the Prizes be sold or transferred by thewinner to any other legal person.
7.3Delivery of the Prize will be effected in a manner at the Organisersdiscretion.
7.4 Thewinner agrees that the Organisers (or any third party nominated by theOrganisers) may in its sole discretion use the winners comments relating to thePrize and their experience for future promotional, marketing and publicitypurposes in any media worldwide without notice and without any fee being paid(including for the avoidance of doubt when responding to any third party).
8.Broadcasting
8.1 TheEvent will have broadcast and commentary courtesy of RaceSpot TV
9. Conduct
9.1 Driversor Teams posting negative, disruptive and/or brand-damaging content on socialmedia about the following may result in the Team being disqualified from theEvent.
9.2 AllDrivers and Teams are expected to respect fellow competitors, the Organisersand any others associated with the Event.
9.3 Discriminationof any kind; bullying; abusive/aggressive behaviour or unsportsmanlikebehaviour will not be tolerated and will lead to penalties or disqualificationfrom the Event.
10. InterviewRules.
10.1 Teamsmay be called to interview either pre-race, mid-race or post-races.
10.2 Anypre-race interviews will be arranged ahead of time with the Teams.
10.3 All Teamsagree to provide at least one Driver per Team, who finish in positions 1-3 ofany race to participate in post-race interviews.
10.4 Teamsare reminded that all race interviews are broadcast live, and thus all; offensive/unsportsmanlikeand defamatory comments made during interviews may be penalised.
10.5 Theabove conditions do not solely apply to the race but also apply to qualifying.
11. Data Protection
11.1 TheTeam and Driver confirms permission for the Organisers to request and use theirpersonal data as necessary for the limited purposes of this Event including thepublication of their name and / or likeness where applicable.
11.2 Shouldthe entry include the submission of a third party’s personal data the entrantconfirms they have the permission of that third party to do so and that theseTerms and Conditions have been brought to that persons’ attention.
11.3 TheOrganisers may have to share the personal data of any winner and guest withthird parties for the purpose of issuing the Prizes.
